Istanbul, Exchange seminar: How people face evictions
An exchange seminar will take place in Istanbul, Turkey in February 2010, bringing together community leaders and activists representing struggles against forced evictions from the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo), Brazil (Porto Alegre), Argentina (Buenos Aires), Pakistan (Karachi), China (Huangzhou), Turkey (Istanbul) and Egypt. The four-day exchange will be hosted by the Housing Rights Coordination in Turkey.

. Con el noble propósito de exponer y debatir las iniciativas concretas de reflexión y acción del vinculo ente Universidades y su entorno social. El evento se realizó del 8 al 9 de diciembre en Centro Vlady. Acudieron 52 maestros y estudiantes del postgrado de filosofía de la UACM y UNAM.

The International Alliance of Inhabitants launched a proposal for an Independent Lawyers’ Network in defence of the right to housing and against evictions. The launch took place on the occasion of the first legal seminar organised by El Barzón, Movimiento Jurídico Nacional, headed by its representative, lawyer Rebeca Estrada Aguilar.
