Then I was taken into custody because I stayed at the scene after the warning from the police. " DAL, with support from the International Alliance of Inhabitants, requests for relocation of those who were evicted and, as a joined force, demands regularization of undocumented persons.

The eviction at Dale Farm is set to start on Monday 19th September at the very beginning of World Zero Evictions Days – World Habitat Days!We are calling on supporters to come and help them stop the eviction or act as human rights monitors. Some of us will be engaging in civil disobedience to prevent homes from being bulldozed.The eviction, estimated to cost 19.2 million pounds, would involve  smashing chalets and mobile-homes, and physically forcing up to 90 families, including children, the elderly and infirm, to leave the district, impoverished and with nowhere legally to live.

Why the Zero Evictions Campaign in New Orleans

Appeal for Housing Rights and Zero Evictions in Tamil Nadu, India

We, associations of inhabitants, international networks, voluntary groups, NGOs, public agencies, citizens of the world, express our indignation and denounce the massive forced evictions, carried out by the government of Tamil Nadu, India, from 23 November 2006, rendering around 30,000 people homeless in Chennai, including around 5,000 students. Three people died, among them a three-year-old girl who fell into the water. A further million evictions are waiting to happen all over the state of Tamil Nadu to clear all encroachments on Government land.
