On 6 December 2009, more than 500 people gathered in front of the Olympic stadium being constructed at Adler (Sochi-Krasnodar region) to protest against threats of eviction. They are protesting against the confiscation of their land with a view to preparing the Sochi Olympics to be organized in 2014. The financial compensation offered for land and buildings is considered to be well below their market value.

Every evening at eight o’clock for the last three months thousands of indignant citizen in this industrial hub, home of Mercedes, Bosch and Porsche, shout, whistle, blow their car horns or beat pans and pots in protest against the cartel of politicians and financiers who have made a mockery of democracy.
And on every Monday evening at six o’clock for months tens of thousands of these protesters have gathered in the central city park, the Schlossgarten, to demonstrate against the demolition of the city’s landmark Central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the felling of 283 park trees to make space for a lucrative new development project known as Stuttgart21 or S21 - the proposed date of completion in 2021).
The dormitories of Saint Petersburg: tenants’ protest action
The tenants of Saint Petersburg’s dormitories have voiced their protest against evictions.
On November, 8, supported by the Center of Workers Solidarity and trade union and human rights activists, about fifty tenants of residential houses that used to be earlier the dormitories owned by Soviet state run enterprises have staged a picket in front of the local City Government Housing Committee office. They protested the continuous attempts made by the new property owners, who privatized the former dormitories in the 1990 ies, to evict the tenants from their housing.

Two dozen people braved the cold to march around Center City to protest mortgage foreclosures.
Chanting save our homes, Members of the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign took to the sidewalks in Center City, visiting closed banks to complain about how they are handling the current foreclosure situation.

El lunes 9 de noviembre integrantes de la Asociación Mutual Sentimiento fueron golpeados por la policía mientras marchaban en círculos en la Pirámide de Plaza de Mayo.
