The Global Charter-Agenda for Human Rights in the City Adoption to be planned

The International Permanent Secretariat Human Rights and Local Governments ( SPIDH) of Nantes will participate in the next UCLG World Council (United Cities and Local Governments) which will be held between 9 and 11 December 2011 in Florence (Italy).

Since 2007, the SPIDH has been leading the working group which, within the Commision Social Inclusion and Participative Democracy and Human Rights of the World Federation of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), elaborated the Global Charter for Human Rights in the City .

After being recommended for adoption by the UCLG Executive Bureau in November 2010, the text of the Charter-Agenda will be presented for formal adoption at the World Council of Florence.
