The intended demolition of a beloved railway station and the uprooting of ancient park trees has led to a rebellion and calls for a new kind of governance. Every evening at eight o’clock for the last three months thousands of indignant citizen in this industrial hub, home of Mercedes, Bosch and Porsche, shout, whistle, blow their car horns or beat pans and pots in protest against the cartel of politicians and financiers who have made a mockery of democracy.  And on every Monday evening at six o’clock for months tens of thousands of these protesters have gathered in the central city park, the Schlossgarten, to demonstrate against the demolition of the city’s landmark Central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the felling of 283 park trees to make space for a lucrative new development project known as Stuttgart21 or S21 - the proposed date of completion in 2021).

People’s Responsible Organisation of United Dharavi (PROUD) organized 4 public meetings on Housing Rights and Pressing for the immediate implementation of long standing Dharavi Redevelopment Programme (DRP) with about 800-1000 people in each of the meeting between 8th  January, 2011 to 16th  January, 2011. UK, Councillors vote to evict travellers from Dale Farm

We won't go, No pasaran, Zero Eviction at Dale Farm, UK (April 2011) Travellers and Romany people from across Europe have protested against the planned evictions. Travellers and Romany people will be forcibly removed from an illegal site in Essex if they do not leave voluntarily, councillors have decided. Basildon council's development control and traffic management committee voted to take direct action at Dale Farm, between Billericay and Basildon. The committee also voted to take out an injunction and take similar action at The Paddocks near Wickford.
