Peaceful Vigil outside Italian Embassy - Wednesday 17 Oct 08, 12:00pm - 3:00pm

Come to the peaceful vigil outside the Embassy of Italy, 14 Three Kings Yard, London, W1K 4EH on Friday 17th October 2008, 12 noon - 3 pm.

The far right alliance of Silvio Berlusconi s Forza Italia, anti-immigrant Northern League and the Fascist Northern Alliance, has unleashed an unprecedented wave of racism and xenophobia against the Roma Gypsy people in Italy.

The climate of fear and racial hatred against the Gypsy Roma Traveller population in Italy has been steadily rising for some time and the actions of the Italian government seem to have contributed.

Non Government Organisations continue to report arrests, evictions and attacks on GRT communities of Italy.
