Desenvolvimento urbano com igualdade social

O Fórum Nacional de Reforma Urbana realizará Encontro Nacional de Reforma Urbana , nos dias 15, 16 e 17 de março de 2012 , em São Paulo - SP . O encontro é organizado pelo Forum Nacional de Reforma Urbana e reunirá mais de 300 lideranças de movimentos sociais, ONG´s, entidades profissionais e acadêmicas e sindicatos de cerca de 20 estados brasileiros.

Mulheres ocupam edifício abandonado no centro de São Paulo no Dia Internacional das Mulheres ( 8 3 2012) Cerca de 250 mulheres dos Movimentos Populares e da luta pela Reforma Urbana (UMM-SP, UNMP, Rede Mulher Habitat e Central de Movimentos Populares), no dia 08 de março de 2012, ocuparam edifício abandonado na Rua Quintino Bocaiuva, no centro de São Paulo.

Santo Domingo, 19 February 2012. More than one hundred representatives from various organisations, including urban, country, cooperatives, trade unions, women, youths and nongovernmental met for the workshop meeting “On public policies of finance and social investment, focusing on popular housing and the security of tenure” held in the meeting room of the Bono Centre in the City of Santo Domingo. They agreed to introduce a process of policy advocacy for policies on housing, land and security of tenure, as well as a social investment equivalent to 1.52% of GDP.

Building an Urban and Communitarian Way from Porto Alegre to the Peoples’ Summit in Rio During the Thematic Social Forum in Porto Alegre which included CONAM, FCOC, IAI, FNRU, the unity of urban social movements was highlighted. Also highlighted was the fight against evictions. This debate takes place in the context of participation-building at the Peoples’ Summit and at the Peoples’ Permanent Assembly that will take place parallel to the Rio+20 United Nations Conference, where we intend to advance the construction of the Urban and Communitarian Way.
