Mozambique, 16th Conference of the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy

The 16th Conference of the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) will take place in the city of Matola, in Mozambique from the 4th to  the 6th  of May 2016. Matola is a model for participatory democracy in Africa (it is the current President of the IOPD) and is the World Capital of Participatory Democracy. The theme of the IOPD's 16th Conference will be “Good Governance and Citizen Participation” and will bring together the experiences and practices of local authorities, public-sector managers, organisations, entities, civil society, researchers and academics from all over the world.

L'ayuntamiento de Barcelona multa con 5.000 euros a bancos que tienen 12 pisos vacíos

El Ayuntamiento de Barcelona que capitanea la alcaldesa Ada Colau ha impuesto 12 multas a entidades financieras que tienen pisos vacíos en la ciudad. Las sanciones son de 5.000 euros y llegan después de un plan del anterior gobierno municipal peinara con inspecciones cuatro de los barrios donde más desahucios se han producido en los últimos años, como Ciutat Meridiana o Besòs, y que más pisos vacíos acumulan.
